Bookworm: A Review and #Giveaway!

Everyone knows how fun it is for monsters to be able to have their favorite book read to them at bedtime, storytime, or with a group in class or at the library. Even more fun are those books that are recordable by Mom or Dad or Grandparents. The down side to recordable books is that there is only one book there. Wouldn't it be great if you had a device that was capable of storing your child's whole library recorded in your voice?

Bookworm is that device! Bookworm has a built in SD memory card that will allow you to create your own audio book library at a fraction of the cost of purchasing tons of recordable books one by one for your child's use. And, you can purchase additional DS cards as needed.

Here's some background about AbleNet, the creators of Bookworm, from their website:

I am continually impressed with our Bookworm, when we have a long car ride to the doctor, when I have to make dinner but the twinnies want a story, or when I have a meeting and need to keep them happy but quiet. The external headphone jack makes it possible to keep my little ones entertained while I'm taking care of the "responsible adult stuff", and the ability to use batteries or a power cord is extra convenient when we're not able to plug in

The repetition both twins crave is easy to accommodate. I rarely see them completely spellbound by a book, but with their Bookworm it's common to see them sit for nearly an hour, listening to the Daddy's voice reading them their favorite stories. It's extra special these days, when they are missing their Daddy, because he's been out of town on business so much.
